Size represents a creature’s physical scale and plays an important role in determining how it interacts with the world. It affects movement, combat reach, available space, line of sight, environmental navigation, and the effectiveness of certain abilities or equipment.
Each creature has a size category ranging from the minuscule to the titanic. These categories define how much space the creature occupies on the battlefield and how far it can reach.
| Size Modifier | Category | Space (ft.) | Reach (ft.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| –5 | Infinitesimal | Special | 0 |
| –4 | Microscopic | Special | 0 |
| –3 | Minuscule | 5 x 5 | 0 |
| –2 | Tiny | 5 x 5 | 5 |
| –1 | Small | 5 x 5 | 5 |
| 0 | Medium | 5 x 5 | 5 |
| +1 | Large | 10 x 10 | 5 |
| +2 | Huge | 15 x 15 | 10 |
| +3 | Enormous | 20 x 20 | 15 |
| +4 | Titanic | 25 x 25 | 20 |
| +5 | Behemoth | 30 x 30 | 25 |
A creature normally requires space equal to or larger than its size category to move freely without penalty.
When attempting to Hide or use Stealth, apply your Size Modifier to the Stealth check result. Smaller creatures find it easier to hide, while larger creatures are naturally more visible:
