Spark

The Spark represents the narrative fire and heroic drive that separates a true hero from the rest of the world. It is a resource earned through creativity, roleplay, and being a core part of the story.

Earning Spark

The Architect awards Spark to players who contribute to the game's atmosphere and fun. You can earn a Spark by:

Automatic Gains: Every player begins the session with 1 Spark. Additionally, everyone receives 1 Spark for every hour of playtime. Any unspent Spark is lost at the end of the session.

Spending Spark

You may spend your Spark to achieve extraordinary results in the following ways:

Reroll

Reroll any d20 check (Skill, Attack, Save) or a damage roll. You always take the better of the two results.

Second Wind

Spend a Spark to immediately wake up from an Unconscious status.

Recovery

Spend 1 Spark to heal 1 Wound. To heal an Extreme Wound, you must spend 3 Sparks at once.

Narrative Shift

Suggest a change to the story (e.g., finding a hidden clue, a helpful NPC appearing). This is subject to the Architect's approval. If the Architect denies the change, the Spark is not consumed.
